Remember when it seemed as though we could never win in Houston? There was that one weekend series when A-Ram went crazy, and if memory serves correctly we swept them. But it seemed as though try as the Pirates might they could never quite beat the Astros in Enron/Minute Maid Park.
Now it seems as though Milwaukee is now that place that we can no longer win at. With the loss on Sunday it is now 12 in a row. at least for the time being I doubt our record will improve that much in Miller Park.
Despite the 12 inning loss and the weekend sweep there were some things to think about from that game. One was clearly the ejection of Adam LaRoche and John Russell. Neither are that fiery of a person, at least in the field, and to see them both get extremely animated was something different to behold. Add that to the fact that the incident lasted a whole half inning and it seemed to be rather strange.
The play of Nyjer Morgan is also annoying. I think we can all agree that Morgan is what he is; a fast person, nothing more. Then he goes out and starts to hit in the minors and so far in his stint up here, has been hitting the ball just as well. It annoys me mainly because I know it won't last, you all probably know that it won't last, yet I fear that somehow they will fall into a trap and think he is better than what he is. Then again I don't think these guys are like Jim Tracy and company.
Next up are the Cubs, where it won't get any easier for the Buccos. Lets just hope that they are able to get more than a bunch of singles, as they did Sunday, against the Cubbies. If not it will again be quite a long series.

Since trading Bay and Nady, we can't win any place.
That is very true.
